Looking for a healthy snack that satisfies your dessert cravings? This Instant Pot applesauce recipe has just 2 ingredients, tastes like apple pie, and comes together in less than 30 minutes!
I LOVE apple pie, but I rarely have the time to sit down and bake one from scratch. So when I found myself with an abundance of apples recently, I decided that’d I’d make something new…applesauce!
This homemade applesauce really fulfills my apple pie cravings and is a whole lot healthier! It’s not only healthy and delicious but also SO simple to make because it only has 2 ingredients! In less than 30 minutes, I was able to make something my whole family loved and my house smelled amazing, like a crisp fall day.
I love that I can use my Instant Pot and there are no added sugar or additives. I doubt I’ll buy store bought applesauce again!
Here is what you need:
3 lbs apples, cored and peeled ( I used a combination of Pink Ladies and Red Delicious) 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup waterStep 1: Wash, peel and core apples, then add apples to the Instant Pot.
Step 2: Next add cinnamon and water.
Step 3: Secure lid and cook on high pressure for 7 minutes.
Step 4: When time is up, let the Instant Pot do a natural release for 3 minutes then do quick release. Apples will be soft.
Step 5: Then quickly mash with a potato masher.
Step 6: Enjoy warm or let cool then place in an airtight container and keep in fridge for up to a week.

I found this just in time for fall. I have sweet tooth but I need to control my craving so this is going to be perfect.
This applesauce looks delicious but I would rather do it with green apples. Great Post!
Made this today (doubled the batch for my 8qt) and it is fantastic! Thank you! Any idea on the shelf life if it is just refrigerated and not canned?
Easy to make, delicious results!
I do similar in crockpot, same recipe.
I've been on a weight loss program since March 1 (40 pounds down!) and fruit is something I can eat. Can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks so much. I never even thought of this.
Can you freeze batches of this for later, then heat as a clobler?
This applesauce looks delicious! We have a ton of apples from our apple tree that we need to do this with!
