Fruity Dessert Nachos

This is a guest post from Sammi of Grounded & Surrounded

Let’s turn dessert on it’s head, shall we? These Fruity Dessert Nachos have quickly become our new family favorite. Sure we still like brownies and cookies, but this fun creation has taken the cake lately.

I love that each ingredient can be easily be bought at the store and then quickly turned into a fabulous dessert. No mixing, no baking, and only a couple dishes to wash!

If you are making this for your family as a late night snack just follow the directions below. However, if you are hosting a party, set each ingredient out in the order it is layered and let your guests create their own sweet nacho treats.

Lastly, if peaches aren’t in season or not your family’s favorite try cherries, berries, or even bananas. Enjoy and let your creative side build the most delicious and fun dessert yet!

Here is what you need:

2 bags of Stacy’s Cinnamon Pita Chips (14 oz total)
2 peaches, sliced
½ cup pecans, chopped
½ cup white chocolate chips, melted
1 can Reddi-Wip or homemade whipped cream

Step 1: Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Slice peaches into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

Step 2: On a large plate, layer 1 bag of cinnamon pita chips.

Step 3: With a fork, drizzle pita chips 1/4 cup melted chocolate chips.

Step 4: Top with 1 sliced peach and 1/4 cup chopped pecans.

Step 5: Next, layer the 2nd bag of pita chips and remaining melted chocolate, pecans, and peach. Generously finish off the dessert nachos with large dollops of Reddi-Wip or homemade whipped cream.

Recipe Notes: Substitute pears, cherries, berries, or bananas for the peaches in this recipe. Also, when melting the chocolate, add 1/2 tsp coconut oil if the melted chocolate mixture is too thick to drizzle.

  • Mmm, I've never had the cinnamon sugar chips from Stacy's. They look delicious though, and what a great way to use peaches! Pampered Chef had a similar recipe using tortillas to make cinnamon sugar "taco bowls" for ice cream and fruit salsa. Soo tasty.
