Need a yummy treat to satisfy your sweet tooth? These unbelievably easy white chocolate rice crispy treats are so delicious and only require 4 ingredients!
Want to know how to make delicious rice crispy treats even better? The answer is pretty simple. Are you ready for it?
Add white chocolate.
Oh! My!
Heaven on a plate, they are. I dare you to stop at just one. Or five.
And the best part? Only four ingredients and 20 minutes to make. I also love making these individual Key Lime Pie Custard cups. Which are super cute and only require 5 ingredients. We have so many easy desserts to choose from. You can find more here.
You’re welcome.
Here is what you need:
1 12oz. box Rice Krispies or generic equivalent (which is about 10 cups ) 2 10 oz. bags mini marshmallows 1 stick of butter, plus more for greasing the pan 1 12oz. bag of white chocolate chips, divided Sprinkles (optional)Step 1: Generously grease a 9×13″ cake pan or baking dish with butter.
Step 2: Melt one stick of butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Step 3: Add mini marshmallows and begin stirring with a heavy-duty spatula. Then add 2/3 of the white chocolate chips and continue stirring.
Step 4: Continue stirring until marshmallows are completely melted. There may still be some small chunks of white chocolate–that’s okay.
Step 5: Slowly add the Rice Krispies to the pot and stir until cereal is completely coated with marshmallow mixture.
Step 6: Pour mixture (it will be sticky!) into your pre-greased baking dish.
Step 7: Butter your hands, then press down cereal into pan.
Step 8: Melt remaining white chocolate chips in microwave. (Heat for 30 seconds, then stir, then repeat until melted. If mixture seems thick, add a tablespoon of vegetable oil.)
Step 9: Place melted white chocolate in a pastry bag (or Ziploc bag, in a pinch). Cut off tip (or corner) of bag, then drizzle over-top of cereal, then sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let white chocolate harden before attempting to cut into squares.
Preparation time: 20 minutes. Number of servings (yield): 24
